What is your favorite recipe? From irishjeeper 

I’m not sure if you want my favorite recipe to cook or my favorite to eat. So I guess I’ve got a few.

To eat:
Liver and onions. Lightly bread the liver with Bisquick, then fry it in a pan using bacon grease. Cook the onions in the same pan first. I’ve loved this since I was a little kid.

To make:
One of two or well three:
Russian Chicken (my gram taught me to make this and she got it from someone at her church)
Sheppard’s Pie
Meatloaf

And for dessert:
Cheesecake

Okay this is actually difficult… because there are fictional characters that I would summon because OMG cool… but then there are ones that could actually like ya know help me.

And I only get three, huh? Dang… okay.

Well number one is probably Oliver Queen then because he actually has survived on a deserted island at least for a little while (although we’re finding out that he wasn’t there the entire time). Still he’s got some pretty badass skills and he can probably protect us for at least a little bit of time.

I think number two would be Katniss Everdeen, simply because she could hunt and keep us all fed.

So now I’ve got two archers… I need someone capable of building shelter. I’m pretty decent at that, but I want someone a bit better. Or well I need someone capable of getting off the damn island. *thinks*

And finally The Doctor because he and the Tardis could just get us the fuck OFF THE ISLAND. We’d probably end up somewhere worse or at least more interesting… but we’d be OFF THE ISLAND.

I’m absolutely sure that was NOT what you were thinking when you gave me this question… but it’s what you got.

Other options:
Will Turner—since ya know he has a boat.
Peter Pan—because he could just fly us away.
Scotty (from Star Trek)—he could just beam us up. :-)
And Hawkeye for all the reasons.

December's the Month of Questions

What is your favorite genre to read (or watch) and does it influence the way you write? from tinhutlady

I pretty much read and watch the same genre. I love science fiction and fantasy (although I’m starting to be disappointed in SyFy). I also read and watch adventure/action and historical. Honestly I’ll read just about anything or at least try it once. I tend to be a bit more selective with my watching; although I watch a lot of TV and movies. About the only thing I refuse to watch is horror. I will read some horror novels though (I used to love Dean Koontz). That being said I do seem to have a thing for zombie movies and shows.

Does it influence the way I write? To a certain extent. Of course I write fanfiction so what I watch of course influences me in that way. For original fiction, yes it does. I tend to write a lot of science fiction and fantasy. I love writing though so anything that comes to mind is what I’m willing to write.

I seem to have gotten sucked into yet another meme :-D

1) Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment.

2) Ask your f-list to post questions in the comments. For example: "One, nine, and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. So I can't decide what I want to do this year, bookwise. I don't want to get bogged down like last year trying to read a Letter of the Alphabet and I just can't seem to decide on a number that I want to try to reach. So I'm just going with...I'll read as many books/comic books as I can and list them here. I'll keep them separate so you can see which of each kind I read.
