Welcome Lucy
8/4/13 09:43So I’ve been talking a bit about my little sister’s new dog. Especially since I’ve been dealing with her a lot. Thought I’d post some pictures of her. And don’t be fooled by how cute she is. She’s a total hellhound most of the time.
Her name is Lucy. She’s a yellow lab and she’s being trained as a guide/service dog. The people who bred her breed only for that and the litter before hers went totally to Wounded Warriors (Yay!) She was born the day after Christmas.
She also has the habit of sleeping in the weirdest positions!

Selling on Etsy
3/1/13 22:20It has been suggested to me that I might consider selling some of my crafty stuff on Etsy.
What I’m looking for is whether anyone would be interested in this. I’ve posted some of my embroidery over the years and would gladly give examples again.
I’m considering building up some stock before I post and am looking to see what people might be interested in looking at or purchasing if they were searching.
I’m thinking of:
Small pillows
Baby bibs
Small quotation blocks
If anyone else can think of anything let me know?
And I don't know what exactly I'm going to put on there yet--just simple things to start with. Possibly some fandom related, but also more general things too.

The Corner
23/4/12 15:30So I've been talking for about a week about unearthing the one corner of my room and cleaning it out. I finally got around to it today and while I'm not completely done (I've still got things spread around my room a bit and some other things to finish), the actual corner is cleaned out. Because I wanted everyone to see why this was such a massive undertaking and why I've been putting it off...I thought I'd take pictures and share some before, during, and after pictures.
Mind you I have very limited space here so that is part of my problem.

My New Baby
10/11/11 00:09Most of you know that my car is a piece of shit, so my momo has been looking around and trying to find me a new car for a while. She found me one last week. It's a very nice car. And a pretty blue :-) Its a 2001 Saab 9 5 and has many, many bells and whistles.

Freak Snow!
31/10/11 11:00So some fool thought it would be awesome if we had a snow "storm" last Saturday. Now I grew up in Upstate New York, where snow in October is really not that unusual. But I wouldn't call the dusting we got a storm. Now the rest of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey weren't so lucky. But I thought you'd like to see what it looks like in my neck of the woods er well neighborhood.

We're still waiting for the back end of Irene, but we've survived the rains. It looks like the main part missed us or it hit while we were sleeping and we just woke up to the destruction. Personally it doesn't seem like it was as bad as they said it would be, at least not here. I can see the trees whipping around as I write this, but considering they were calling for wide spread flooding here in town and they did issue an evacuation, it's not as bad as it could have been.
We still have power at the house, although I don't think the neighbors do. And my parents don't have any. There's a little water in the basement and the back yard is a lake like usual, but the trees are intact for the most part. I took a few pictures, but per my cousin's orders (he's a firefighter in town) did not venture out of our yard.

Okay so now that it seems like ElJay is up and running again (*pokes at it cautiously*), I figured I'd do a little post of what I'm up to. And I'm gonna update my books and my fic list too before I get writing in a few minutes...unless I run out of energy...which hopefully I won't.
1) I'm working on a postcard book for my unofficial soldier for Soldiers' Angels. This means I am trying my hardest to get a postcard from every single state that makes up the 50 states. I have or have requested or been promised all but the following states: Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, New Mexico, and Vermont. If anyone lives in these states or knows someone who lives in these states, could you PM me please? I can give people more information too if they need it.
2) I've been working on my Music Meme and I've got a bunch of people almost done. So hopefully I'll be posting that soon. This has actually be a LOT harder than I thought it would be. I might be posting some of them that are completed soon (today or tomorrow) and then adding more as I finish them.
3) I've gotten some embroidery projects done in the last couple of months and I really should post pictures of them if anyone is interested. If not...I won't bother.
4) I want to get back to my original fic writing but I keep coming up with fan fic ideas...could someone please shoot those bunnies for me?
5) My sister's birthday is at the end of August and with that in mind I really want to work on one of her Leave Stories, but I can't seem to focus on them. I guess I'll have to buckle down and just make myself work on them. Anyone willing to look them over and give me a hand there?

7) I'd like to finish Dancing Queen (Covert Affairs fic) since I think it's pretty close to being done--if my characters would stop trying to derail what I want to happen anyway.
8) After watching Warehouse 13 this past week, the only way I'll be able to write the one fic idea I have is to AU the shite outta the show...soooo I have to consider that. Do I want to write Myka/Pete and naughty librarian as an AU or just scrap the idea? Comments? Thoughts?
9) I started a Suits/Franklin & Bash crossover...but I need a bit more of a plot. And like an actual case. Or at least a reason for Harvey and Mike to go to LA. So um..yeah...that's been tabled for the moment. I'm also having issues of feeling like Jared is really OOC. And I'm not yet confident enough to write Harvey. So until all of those things...I'll have to wait a bit.

Because this has been happening to me for DAYS! And it is really starting to PISS ME OFF! I thought it was just like...I don't even know.

8/6/11 19:01Returning Soldiers are charged to check their bags--including weapons. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently Delta charged some returning soldiers to check a 4th bag because it went over the limit of their reciprocal agreement. Really? This is ridiculous.

Comments and Friending

Comments--I am really bad sometimes about answering comments. I read them all...but I don't always answer them right away. It doesn't mean I don't want to, it just means I don't have the energy or the time to deal with them right then. If you absolutely positively need an answer right then, please just give me a heads up in the comment. I try to go back and get to them when I get a chance.
Friending--I love that y'all are friending me and that you do it to follow my stories, etc. Please feel free to do it. But please don't get offended if I don't friend you back. I have way more friends, comms, etc than I can keep up with now so I really one friend back people who are actual friends or people I want to keep track of. So if you friend me and I don't friend back, it's nothing against you. I just don't know you. If you leave me a comment...I will eventually get back to you :-)
