Well we're more than halfway done with the month and I thought I'd post another update. This time with a progress meter and a picture of my Excel sheet.

I've been struggling the last few days with getting more than my goal done or even focusing on anything, but I have persisted and managed to get something written. I'd really like to go back and get into the swing of things that I had at the beginning of the month, but I don't seem to have it. *sighs*

I have been challenged by Ransom Noble to join 750words.org after the end of Writo de Mayo so it looks like my daily goal is going to shoot upwards greatly in a few days. :-) We'll see what happens then.

Just an up on my progress for Writo de Mayo and also a slight change on my goals...I completely forgot to take into account my plans at the end of the month to be out of town and at my cousin's wedding, plus spend (hopefully) some time with [livejournal.com profile] illfindmyway . So I am amending my goal for the weekend of May 27 to 30 only. During those four days, if I write at all I will consider it a win. As long as I continue to meet my goal for the rest of the month, I will consider that I met the challenge.

As for my progress meter:

6710 / 5425 (123.69%)

I do believe the correct response here is "big bada boom!"

Just a little reminder that today starts Writo de Mayo 2011, along with [livejournal.com profile] illfindmyway  and [livejournal.com profile] weakmoments  (remind me to change your name later, darlin'), I've got a goal and I'm determined to make it! All three of us are encouraging each other and have decided on goals and rewards if we make it to them. If you want to see what they are, they're posted on my livejournal and you can cheer us along on our own journals. I'll be posting progress like usual and also stories as I finish them. Like usual I have my little progress meter which looks rather sad right now :-( And I'll also post my word counts once a week or so.

Just a little reminder of what my personal goal and reward is...

1. Write every day
2. Write at least 175 words per day
3. Continue to work on stories that are on my Fic to Finish List (and try to winnow it down)

If I meet these goals, I will get:
One of the writing books on my list
One other book I want
At least 30 minutes browsing at a bookstore

I've joined Writo de Mayo along with a couple of my other friends and now that we've set our goals, we're also planning rewards. So we're going to use this space for our goals and rewards and cheerleadering.

During the month of May, I ([livejournal.com profile] illfindmyway ) will do the following things:
  1. Write 200 words per day
  2. Have 1000 new words on the Danny/Steve AU by the end of the month
**exception if I work more than 12 hours a day I only have to write 100 words

If I meet these goals, I will get:

During the month of May, I ([livejournal.com profile] weakmoments ) will do the following things:
1. Write 750 words a day
2. I will be posting at least 3 times a week in all of my journals
3. I will work on and try my best to finish at least half of my giant fic list
4. I will post most of what I finish (from the above list)
5. I will work on my Civil War trilogy I was going to write for NaNoWriMo last fall which might just mean notes and research because I am nowhere near the writing stage with my plan to have it a trilogy! My goal with that though is to have all three finished and edited before April of 2015.
6. Finally I will be organizing my writing mainly because it is kind of all over the place! I'll be sorting through napkins, paper towels, scraps of paper, notebooks, journals and everywhere else I've written so I can figure out what I have!

If I meet these goals, I will get:
a footlong chicken breast sub from subway, and a big ol raspberry mocha from somewhere.
