Title: Two Men in a Jungle (Pool)
Characters: Cougar/Jensen
Fandom: Losers
Summary: Scouting…so that’s what the kids are calling it these days.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None really
Disclaimer: Nobody recognizable belongs to me
Author's Note: So this is for
serenelystrange and all her fault and also
palm__tree . See
palm__tree put an away message up because she was getting ready to go out that said “rub a dub dub” and
serenelystrange told me that “this immediately makes me think someone needs to write a slash fic with three men in a tub”. Well, I’m not ready to write a slash 3some yet…so y’all get this instead. And if you’re a Chris/Steve fan, you can go here and see that version. (Also because people need to hear mine and
serenelystrange 's broken brains--*sings* "In the Jungle, the might Jungle. The Cougar sleeps tonight!")
“Hey, Cougs,” Jensen said, turning around, “why am I in the lead? Normally you want…” he trailed off as he realized Cougar wasn’t scanning the jungle around them like he would be normally. “Never mind.” He paused allowing the other man to catch up to him. “Did you have an ulterior motive for hauling me along when you told the colonel you’d scout the area? Because I could certainly get behind that, but are you sure that’s such a good idea? I mean we aren’t exactly sure this area is safe. We aren’t fighting off bad guys here, but we aren’t in the US of A either…”
Jensen stopped babbling again as Cougar placed a finger on his lips. “Just keep walking, mi corazón.”
Jensen grinned, nipping at Cougar’s finger before the other man pulled it away. Swinging back around, he put a little wiggle in his step; sure that Cougar was shaking his head behind him. Instead of picking up the babble (he didn’t care what anyone said—Jake Jensen did know when to shut his mouth), he concentrated on watching their surroundings. He knew his partner was more than likely to spot something out of the norm, but he was capable of checking the area for hostiles.
A few moments later, Cougar brushed past him and Jensen let him take the lead since he seemed to have a destination in mind. When Cougar picked up the pace, he had to do a little hop, skip to keep up with him. He smiled to himself as Cougar didn’t slow, but did change his strides until Jensen was once again at the same distance away. It was just one more way that Cougar showed he was always aware of the technician.
When the jungle abruptly gave way to an open clearing, Jensen was honestly expecting a cliff despite the noise they’d been hearing. His eyes lit up as they looked down. “Wow,” he breathed.
Crystal clear water tumbled off the cliff Jensen had been expecting into a deep pool. Lush vegetation surrounded the large bowl that would easily hold the entire team and possibly a few others. The darker blue at the center proved that the pool was deeper than he had first expected. “Did you know this was here?” he asked Cougar, hooking a finger in his belt.
Cougar nodded, motioning to a path that wound down towards the water. “Swim with me?” he asked.
“I dunno, Cougar, I left my trunks back in New Hampshire and I kinda…” Jensen caught sight of the slight smile on Cougar’s face. “What?”
“Don’t need ‘em,” Cougar responded, tugging him towards the path.
“Oh, Jensen’s been a really good boy,” Jensen replied with a grin. “Jensen gets naked Cougar. Naked Cougar is gooood.”
Cougar just shook his head as he carefully picked his way down the path, Jensen babbling away behind him. Sometimes he wondered what it was about the younger man that attracted him, but then he remembered the brightness that invaded his life once Jensen had joined the team and he understood. Jensen, despite being in special ops, didn’t look at the world the same way and Cougar welcomed that.
As they reached the shore, he looked around, checking for hostiles. Beside him, Jensen was making a similar sweep before stowing his backpack above the water line. He waited, watching Cougar for signs. When the other man set his rifle down, he grinned. “We strip now?”
Cougar leaned towards him, pressing firm lips against Jensen’s, the other man opening his mouth automatically under the pressure. “We don’t have much time,” he cautioned when he pulled back.
Jensen nodded, hands already going to his shirt. “What’re we gonna tell the colonel?” he asked.
Cougar shrugged. “We found a swimming hole. Had to test it.” He trailed his hand down the skin Jensen had bared.
Jensen grinned. “I like your idea of testing, Cougs.”

3/8/10 04:57 (UTC)Yeah I'm apparently dipping farther and farther into the slash pool. It was implied and then not so implied...soon or later the boys might actually get nekkid.
LOL if I finish the Losers' fic I got prompted with (not one of the ones for Losers Mini-bang, another one) there will be nekkid boys :-) I just started it though...so we'll see.

3/8/10 15:54 (UTC)Jensen says "Know what I just realized?"
Cougar: Que?
Jensen: We're totally gay for each other.
Cougar (smiling): Si.
Yeah, sorry the writing came out so tiny; I'm really frustrated with my gif maker thingy.

3/8/10 17:40 (UTC)*nods* I haven't figured out how to do the gifs yet. And my friends who do them...they're huge and can't be used as icons.
As I was telling my Star last night...two nights ago? Whenever. Even when I don't tryy to slash those two...they kinda slide together. *pets them*

*rofl*
Oh. Oh. Goddess. Yes! I love that line! And after I posted it, I was like erg that might be a little OOC but that's kinda the fun of Jensen :-). You can say "well he had sugar" and excuse some of the OOCness.
LOL well blame the song on Nikki...she's the one that started it! Besides it kinda seemed appropriate for Cougar.

3/8/10 20:03 (UTC)I'll see what I can do about convincing him to share though.
Yes, that was by far my favorite line though.
