Day Two—Saturday
So I’m gonna throw this out that there…I fucked up. I got busy with work and family stuff (some of y’all know my home situation, some of you don’t, but I’m not gonna get into it now) and then the holidays came up…but suffice it to say…it kinda slipped my mind that I needed to finish my ConCon reports. *facepalm* epic fail and all that.
In other words…now I’m just gonna kinda throw up my pictures and some of the things I can remember…I do actually have some notes from Saturday and Sunday (apparently I wasn’t as far gone on those days) so I can make a couple of comments. Okay I lied…I have no notes for Saturday…I have a couple of Christian quotes…and hopefully I can piece things together from that, the schedule, and my faulty memory…so take everything with a grain of…sand.
We didn’t have a set tour on Saturday so got to sleep in a bit, got up and got breakfast at our hotel. I gotta say, we did have a pretty nice one, kudos to

A lovely montage of photos kept us entertained while we waited for the Five to enter. I was playing with my camera while we waited and caught a couple of them. I giggled when I realized what the Eliot one said… (The weird angle is because the screen was up above my head)

Everyone was lovely. The cast took a few minutes to settle in—I believe only Aldis and Christian had done cons before so the others weren’t quite sure what to expect. They were put at ease within a few moments and joked with each other and also with the fans. Still they were absolutely gracious and sweet. I know at once point someone asked an inappropriate question—but said person was “no”’ed down and everyone moved on. They did have difficulty hearing because of the way the sound system was set up so they had to keep asking for things to be repeated, but that was in no way their fault.
Um…highlights and then I’ll pick some of my pictures.
They were asked about vacations (for both themselves and their characters…I don’t remember what all everyone said)…I know the following was said:
Tim—in Paris with his son
Gina—the beach
I cannot remember what Aldis or Beth said, but it seems like Aldis said something about his watches at this point
Christian said work was a vacation for him and for Eliot anywhere out of his head
He then turned to Gina and started singing “Kokomo” but the Beach Boys. He didn’t sing much of it…just mostly the chorus, but when he got to the “pretty mama” part (which was as far as he got), Gina giggled.
For some reason another question was about what they would do if they survived a zombie apocalypse (yeah…I don’t know either…and they were confused even after it was explained to them)—just about all of them pointed to Christian to answer it, he kinda looks out at the audience and then completely deadpans, “I’m Eliot fucking Spencer. I’d whump their asses.” It was just…it was awesome. Both the answer and the delivery.
Christian on why he took the part of Eliot Spencer (after telling the story of throwing the script again—which I’m not going to repeat since I’m pretty sure y’all have heard it…if ya haven’t let me know and I’ll tell it) he asked how many people were Angel fans… I’d say a good ¾ of the audience yelled, screamed, raised their hands, and he continued “I’m tired of wearing suits and getting my ass kicked…by a girl.”
Throughout the whole panel they were trying to get the Five to say various lines. They easily got Aldis to say “bring it. Bring yore ass.” But Christian just would not bite. Whatever line they asked, he just would not say it. Not even sure why, he just wouldn’t. Then Aldis said something and Christian just blurted out, “Damnit, Hardison!” I think he was more surprised than the audience was!
Pictures! We were in the second row, on the right side…so that’s why so many of Aldis, Beth, and Christian. And there’s more than I’ve posted here…I just picked my favorites.

I swear Beth is saying “I wasn’t involved in this.” Or “Whatever he’s plotting…I know nothing.”

I missed the beer bump…Shane—Christian’s stand-in—brought him a beer right after they all sat down and the two guys tapped bottles. Christian then explained who Shane was. Nice guy btw…I talked briefly with him later on…but more in passing while I was talking to Christian.

There are a lot more of the Five in the Day Two album…which is linked at the bottom of this.
Then we headed out…and down for the autographs. Now here’s where part one of some of our issues started. We were supposed to be lined up by numbers and told when our numbers were being called so we could still enjoy the panels…but…they just told all platinum holders to go line up. Um…anyone remember my major concern about the con? Massive amounts of people in little bitty places….yeah…okay *deep breaths now*
They actually lined us up pretty well spaced out, but we got separated from

Now I completely thought that I’d be tongue-tied upon meeting Christian, but no…it was Tim Hutton that I stuttered and stumbled over meeting. He was (and all of them were), very gracious about it. Honestly they were moving us so fast that we didn’t really speak to any of them for that long…it was mostly hi, how are you, and they signed our pictures.

I really had nothing to say to Aldis or Beth—I mean I love them on the show…but nothing specific to say to either of them…so I mostly remember saying thank you to them.
I did tell Christian that I had been passing his music around at my job (no I did NOT tell him what I do) and he said that was awesome. And then I went back later…after I had the rest of my stuff…to check on
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
The “Three” were signing autographs next to the Five…and even if you didn’t have tickets for all of them…they would just sign which was really nice. I was kinda…tongue-tied in my geekiness of meeting them though…so I just said hi. When we got to the table, Dean wasn’t there though so Rogers was like “hang on. Hold on.” And hung onto our posters until Dean came back to sign them.
Mark Sheppard was sitting all by himself because he’s Sterling! Hahaha no I’m kidding. He was at a table all alone, but there was another table there where I believe the FBI agents (Rick Overton and Gerald Downey) were supposed to be sitting. Because of timing, they walked through the line and signed autographs before going to do their panel. Anyway when we got to Mark, he was joking around a lot (he really is one of the sweetest guys), and he was like “Stay! Talk to me! I’m all alone here!” He has absolutely gorgeous ink (tattoos) on his arms and when I complemented the dragon on his left arm, he immediately yanked his sleeve up and then his shirt down to show me the rest (so yes, I have essentially been flashed by Mark Sheppard…take that, y’all!)
I cannot say enough how gracious and kind all of the cast and crew of Leverage—they were all tired and it was a long weekend for all of them on top of a long week…but they were all very kind and I never heard any of them annoyed or snapping at fans.
After autographs, we settled in for the Producers’ Panel. Lemme tell you…the three of them (Dean, Rogers, and Downey) together…were a trip. I honestly don’t remember much that was said…I know at one point Dean started to say something and Downey was doing the cut motion while Rogers started in on should we or shouldn’t we? It was just…I laughed so much during their panel. I know they gave away some spoilers, but I’m not a spoiler-phobe. Honestly I cannot remember anything specific now.
Um…the Kool-Aid…if Dean can “get someone to drink the Kool-Aid” he can convince them to do anything. This was an on-going stitck during the entire panel/con. And then Dean started doing the these are not the droids you’re looking for hand motions…which cracked me up even more. I’m a geek, they’re geeks and I loved it!
The tanker? In the Season two finale? Dean totally got the owners to loan that to the show for free…yeah that’s what stuck in my head.
And since I can’t remember anything else…oh Mark crashed the panel…and Rogers said that audience reaction to him pretty much guarantees Sterling’s return. Anyway…a couple of the pictures I took:

And then we headed back to the hotel so we could change and pretty up for the banquet.
After eating at the banquet, they turned the music up again and I’d had enough.

6/4/10 01:03 (UTC)LOL well the whole thing with the name...I'll change it because it went something like this... I know it starts with a S...Scott sounds good...so um it must have been Scott. But none of us could remember it. So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if I remembered wrong.
Oh, I don't do anything bad...that was kinda a side comment to a friend who apparently missed it...or hasn't seen it yet...I teach English in a middle school. To African American kids...so they always have really random comments about Christian when I play the music or have pictures up.
Hahaha I think most of us will! Its just what kind of Kool-Aid do you need us to drink?

6/4/10 05:08 (UTC)You missed all the dancing to 80s music at the end of the banquet lol. Marc and Aldis were dancing for a bit as well as a whole slew of fans. It was the best thing about the parties, to me :)

6/4/10 15:08 (UTC)Aw sorry I missed Aldis dancing. But well, I prolly wouldn't have enjoyed it with not feeling well. I had a good weekend anyway.

6/4/10 19:20 (UTC)I mainly recorded them because of Mason, I think he was an assistant of some sort. But he is the long haired guy who can not dance to save his life.
