Round Up of July Goals

Short Term Goals
1. Write a minimum of 200 words a day for at least 20 days out of the month.
I wrote a total of 13,235 words this month. I wrote a total of 27 days and on 23 of those days, I met or exceeded my goal of 200 words.
2. Continue working on the fics on the Fic List. Hopefully completing two or more during the month.
I finished the following stories this month:
The Overseers
Thieving Archer
The Bull in the Stable
Mission Kid-Possible
Alternative Revenue Source
Grifter and Thief
Fresh Start
The Sting
From the Ashes
Reach for the Stars
In addition I finished some WDC Three Word Thursdays and Two Word Tuesdays and some letters for jobs, etc.
3. Continue to write and complete Weekly Goals on WDC.
I participated each week. Some weeks I did better than most, but I posted and logged my goals each week.
4. Apply for jobs in the area field.
I applied to three more jobs in M. County. I also interviewed for the full time position for CTC. I will also interview for a private school position on Wednesday.
5. Make a list of Christmas and birthday presents purchased and to make.
I made my list of gifts I have purchased. I am almost done shopping except for a couple of people. Some of them I know what I want to buy, I just haven’t done it yet. Made my ‘to make’ list—it probably won’t all get done and I feel like I’m forgetting something, but the list is made.
Long Term Goals
1. Revamp and reorganize how I’m applying to jobs. Make a more concentrated effort on whom applying to. Goes along with Number 4 above.
I don’t think I really did anything with this. But considering I had two interviews, I’m not feeling too badly. I did do some applying, but Monster seems to have some issues with its search parameters which is giving ME issues with searching for jobs. (I’m sorry but a sales job is not a teaching job.)
2. Finish sorting and organizing my files on my external.
Nope didn’t do a thing.
3. Organize my DVDs—the list and the actual discs.
Considering I couldn’t GET to my DVDs for most of the month, I didn’t get anywhere on this. I’m just going to give myself a bye for the month on this one and the next one. Maybe this coming month I’ll get more with it, unless of course I’m teaching full time.
4. Sort and organize my comics.
Again I couldn’t get into my room for most of the month… so didn’t do a thing. I did design a possible database on excel… hopefully this coming month I’ll be able to test it out and see if it’s usable.
5. Begin sorting and editing stories for anthologies.
I copied off most of the stories I plan to work on. Now I just need to copy the rest and start editing. Does anyone want to help with this?
6. Work on presents for Christmas and birthdays (upcoming).
I have been working on things. Got a few done, but nothing major. Can’t really talk about this since some of the people read this. I’ve made decent progress.
Work Goals/ Plans
1. Write a FB post per week
I wrote a post and had it approved every week this month. Go me!
