Round-Up of September Goals
1. Continue to write at least 200 words a day (for a minimum of 25 days) or edit daily.
I wrote for a total of 27 days last month, although 2 of those days I did not make the goal of 200 words. Considering everything else going on—vacation to Virginia and two deaths in the family—that was pretty awesome. I didn’t edit anything for the month and I don’t have anything in the queue waiting.
2. Finish at least TWO on my Fic to Finish list or make significant progress on four. (Attempt not to add anything other than Primeval or more Assassin Baby to the list.)
I finished 13 stories last month. 5 of them were on my Fic to Finish list. I did add another series to my list (not officially yet, but I’ll put it on there soon—don’t give me that look). I also did a couple of day turn around stories.
3. Try to find the rest of the letters for the Alphabet Challenge. I have Q, V, and Y left to read. Seriously…I need suggestions!
I found and finished a Q book, but no luck so far with V or Y. I found a V book, but was not impressed and didn’t finish reading it.
5. Finish Bry and Jay’s pillowcases. The wedding is October 20th so I have until a few days before then to finish them. Then I need to finish some of the other projects I have started.
I have their pillowcases started and made good progress on them. I’ll continue working and hopefully finish before the wedding. I also had illfindmyway pick what she wanted on hers.
6. So I have two of the sets of my shelves. And I know where I want to put them (pretty sure they’ll fit too). Provided we can find the inner shelves that go on the one—they’ll go against the walls along the wall where the closet is (this makes sense to me). The chair will go under the window where my white shelf current is—that is going. My main goal right now is to get the one set that I have the shelves for in and the white shelves out and the chair moved.
Well I went over and above on this goal. I got both shelves in and filled and the chair moved. I’m still a bit messy on the floor, but well I have a ton more room. So yay me! I really like the way they look and how they’re arranged.
7. Finish mini-PC book. Continue working on the other.
Mini-PC book is finished and the package is put together. I just need to mail it. The other book…I’m giving up on getting the cards and I will be making the missing ones and sorting through my cards this month.
8. Request duplicate copies of teaching certifications. Apply for online teaching.
Momo awesomely found two of my three certifications. So I only need one more. I’m going to look for it because I can’t get a new copy without paying for it. I applied to one of the online tutoring centers and am on a waiting list. I’m still waiting for a callback and I’m looking around for others.
9. Apply for online editing.
I applied at kindleboards, but haven’t heard anything yet. I guess I’m going to have to post on them again, update them more. Just not sure what to do about it exactly.
10. Look into other options for editing and/or writing or teaching that can be done from home.
I kinda failed with this one. Didn’t do much or anything. So. Yeah. Gotta do something about it. I did a little bit of work, but with everything else going on; nothing much happened. I’ll get on it more this month.
