Round-Up of July Goals

shanachie_quillI had an up and down month, so I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked. I started out strong, but then kind of trailed off towards the end of the month. Hopefully I’ll get more done this coming month, but we’ll see. I’m revamping the goals again, although of course some will stay the same (per usual).
1. Continue to write at least 200 words a day (for a minimum of 25 days) or edit daily.
I wrote a total of 16,105 words this month. I did not write for 2 days and I did not meet my goal 5 other days, although I did write something on those days.
2. Finish at least TWO on my Fic to Finish list or make significant progress on four.
I finished 9 stories this month. 3 of them were not on my Fic to Finish list, although 1 of them was one I had always planned to finish. And I didn’t actually add them to the list. So… 50/50 win?
3. Do NOT add anything more to the Fic to Finish list.
Well I didn’t actually add anything to the list, but I did write things that weren’t on the list. So I’ll give that a half-win.
4. Finish two more books for Alphabet Challenge. I have N, Q, U, V, and Y left to read.
I read a book for N and a book for U. So I met this goal. Now if I could just find books for the letters that are left, I can complete this and finish it up. Unfortunately I’m not having much luck. Any suggestions?
5. Finish Bry and Jay’s sampler and start their pillowcases. In addition, complete a simple sampler for Bobby and Jackie for their wedding.
I finished Bobby and Jackie’s sampler—just need to iron and frame it—which I hope to do in a little bit. I haven’t worked on Bry and Jay’s things at all.
6. Finish organizing my comic collection and adding it to the database.
Just fail all around on this. I need to do something with this, but well. Fail.
7. Start emptying out and reorganizing closet—send Sheta and Sis stuff in there for them; put garage sale stuff in back of closet or up in the attic. Repack stuff I’m keeping.
I emptied out the entire closet, reorganized the way everything was in it, got rid of some things. Didn’t really go through anything, but I can do that later. I packed up the box for Sheta but didn’t mail it yet. Decided that most of the stuff for Sis wasn’t really useful for her at this point, so got rid of it or decided to send it to Sheta. Packed up Sis’s birthday presents to mail.
8. Finish mini-PC book. Continue working on the other.
I got more of the mini-PC book done, but didn’t finish it. I’ll concentrate more on it. And I got almost all of the cards. I’ll sort it out in the next few days and see which states I still need.
9. Make an Avengers Coloring Book since we can’t seem to find one anywhere.
I started this, but then got bored with it. And I need/want to work more on it. I’d like to finish it in time for Christmas.
