Author's Note: This is all illfindmyway’s fault. ALL HER FAULT!! She’s the one who got me to watch Primeval and fall in love with Connor and Becker and everyone. And she’s the one who made the comments about Becker’s tendencies. Although I was the one who said I’d pay to hear someone call Becker this. So 6 of 1, half dozen of another?
"Now remember this isn't like what you're used to," Becker cautioned. "You have to listen and follow orders now. No more running off half-cocked or doing what you please."
Connor couldn't help what came out. He was just so happy to be home and back on the team. "Whatever you say. Mom."
Everyone froze, sure that was it, that Becker was going to order him off the team. There had been no sign of a sense of humor in the year any of them had known him. "Good to have you back, Connor," was the only response.
Abby elbowed Connor in the side, causing his breath to oomph out as the military man took the steps that led the way out of the Hub. "One of these days he's going to shoot you. And it's not going to be an accident."
"Oi. It was just a joke!" Connor protested. "Did everyone lose their sense of humor while we were gone?"
"Yer assuming I had one in the first place," Matt replied. "Let's go."
