Summary: Will’s not bothered by these interruptions anymore.

Warnings: Um, none really? A kid attempting to be adorable.
Spoilers: Slight for Vigilante but it’s more a character spoiler than anything. Future fic, about 4-5 years from now…also spoilers for my fics and characters.
Disclaimer: No one recognizable from Sanctuary belongs to be. Bella does, no she as not intentionally named after the annoying Twilight girl. Yes, someday I will explain where her name comes from.
Author's Note: Okay…not what I planned to write today…not even what I got up and started writing…but it’s short and I got it done in almost one sitting…and Bella is becoming cuter and more of a personality every time she jumps into my head with a story. Now if I could just finish the other things I have to work on (and not the three other stories that have popped into my head in the last three days…although those will probably show up soonish…)
“Uncle Will! Uncle Will!”
Will looked up from the file he’d been skimming as the door to his office banged open, spilling a bubbling naked four year old onto his rug. Abby Corrigan, who over the years had proved to be a valuable resource in the FBI, also looked up, although she was clearly confused by the interruption. “Bella,” Will started, only to be stopped by Bella’s voice.
“Look!” she shouted. “I learned a new animal!”
He had just enough time to register that yes she really was naked like his first glance had told him, when she seemed to shake and dropped to the rug. Abby started forward, but he grabbed her arm, realizing what was happening. Before he had a chance to work out what exactly to say, Bella had curled into a ball and in the place of a little girl was a bouncing beagle.
“What…?” Abby started. “What just…?” She sank down into the chair behind her as she attempted to comprehend what had just occurred.
The door burst open again and a wild haired man tumbled in. “Have you seen…?” He glanced down and sighed. “Never mind.” Leaning over, he scooped up the wiggling puppy and turned her to face him. “You. Are a very bad little girl.” Tucking the puppy under his arm, he said, “Sorry she interrupted you, Will.”
Will waved it off. “It’s fine, Henry. Might want to find her some clothes though.”
Henry’s eyes widened. “She was naked? Crap. She was clothed the last time I saw her.” He glanced down at the still wiggling puppy. “Kate is not watching you anymore, Bella. You always end up in more trouble.”
Abby blinked as the puppy seemed to shimmer for a minute and then Henry had to juggle to hold onto what was now a little girl again. “But I had to show Uncle Will!” she protested.
“Show Uncle Will what?” Henry asked in a tone of voice that said he knew he was going to regret asking.
“My new animal,” she answered.
“Of course.” Henry rolled his eyes. “Bella, we wear clothes in public. We do not run naked through the halls of the Sanctuary.” Altering his grip on the child and clearly not having an issue with carrying around a naked child, he waved over his shoulder at the two and left the office, still lecturing.
Abby stared after them for a few minutes before turning to look at Will, who had gone back to reading the file, although a smile was tugging at the corners of his mouth. “You aren’t phased by that?” she asked. “Worried about what he’s going to do to her? Concerned about a naked child?”
Will sighed and set the folder down, before meeting her eyes. “Abby, I’ve told you before, when it doesn’t involve shooting, tasering, or blowing something up…it’s a good day. Bella running around naked? Pretty tame here. Henry will find her some clothes, she’ll probably get her TV privileges taken away and he and Cee will think twice about having another child…although it’s a bit late for that. Honestly if a naked child bursting into my office and turning into a beagle is the worst thing I face today? It’s a really good day.”
Abby shook her head. “I’ve told you before…you’re a strange man, Will Zimmerman.”
“You don’t know the half of it, Abby Corrigan.” He pointed to a line in the folder. “Okay, what I think you have here…” With a few simple words he directed her attention away from their interruption and towards the case she’d brought them.

15/1/11 03:11 (UTC)Yes Bella is a cutie and a handful...she's got her daddy's smarts and her mother's sneakiness...and is just an adorable little bundle. Plus the first baby at Sanctuary since Ashley...so pretty much has everyone wrapped around her little fingers.
Poor Henry indeed. He's never sure what to expect from her. But yes he is able to tell her NO despite what everyone thinks. He just sometimes goes to hide and laugh.
Everyone is under instructions to never, EVER mention the Incident of 2013...again. And all video evidence has been purged. (Bella was born in 2010 if that helps any...)

Wait until I do something where she's looking for Henry...
