My response:
“Did you hear who our guidance is?” the 2IC asked as they ducked into the tent.
“Someone from TechOps I presume.”
A folder slapped down in front of the team leader. “Name look familiar?”
He flipped through the folder until the name jumped out at him. “He wouldn’t be doing it if he wasn’t qualified.”
“You aren’t worried that a blind man is leading us around the desert?” the first man asked.
“Nope,” the leader responded. “I’d trust him before I’d trust most guys who can see. Auggie’s always had our backs. Let’s get this show on the road.”
