Danny Williams might admit that he’s not a gearhead, but he knew damn well what it took to keep his bike running. He also knew one of the fastest ways to derail his partner and love of his life (and wasn’t that a weird ass thought after their meeting) when the current EOD and former SEAL got it in his head that their house needed to be cleaned from top to bottom.
After checking to be sure the bike would make the trip he planned (and a moment to be very glad Grace was spending the evening with the Hanamoas), Danny changed from his shorts to a pair of well-worn jeans and grabbed his leather jacket from its hook. Tracking Steve down took a little longer, but he finally found the other man apparently mapping out a plan of attack on the creeper vine that was invading their lanai. He put a hand on his hip (and god help the person who called him a flamer cause he would flatten that person that person with one punch), slung the jacket over one shoulder, and called, “Hey, babe? Wanna go for a ride with me?”
Steve’s head whipped around at the sound of his voice and a smirk spread across his features. Huh, Danny had time to think before he realized he should probably make a fast retreat unless they wanted to give the neighbors a show, maybe we’ll take the ride tomorrow.
