20 things you may have known about Aiden and may not have wanted to, but you're going to click on the link anyway. :-)
Random Aiden Facts
1. Before she was twelve, Aiden lived in Germany, England, Okinawa, and South Korea. She could also speak four languages in addition to English.
2. The first time she lived in the United States was after her twelfth birthday.
3. She attended schools for military dependents in every country except for England.
4. In addition to living in England as a child, she lived there as an adult when she studied for her BA from Cambridge (ages 18 to 20).
5. Living in England is why she uses swears like “arse, bugger, bloody,” etc.
6. She and Daren went through school together because their birthdays are so close and neither one would go to school without the other.
7. Daren spent their senior year on a foreign exchange in Germany (the first time they didn't attend school together) and at the end of the summer (after some extended classes), Aiden flew over to spend a few weeks with him.
8. Aiden lost a bet while they were out drinking in Germany and as a consequence had to get a pink rosebud tattooed on her ass. Daren held her hands while she had it done.
9. Aiden had to sing these songs when she got her college degrees at the celebrations—forced into Karaoke by her brothers (they had to do the same thing when they got degrees or moved up a rank in the military):
BA—Bad to the Bone
Masters—Too Sexy
Doctorate—Ice Ice Baby
10. Although she has a dual Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate—she said it wasn't fair to make her sing two songs since she got both degrees at the same time.
11. Her first boyfriend, Trevor Wright, dumped her two days after they had sex for the first time (she was seventeen). She broke his nose in revenge and didn't dare tell any of her brothers what had happened. He was just using her and trying to get her into bed--he had been sleeping with another girl at the same time.
12. She attended the college in Chicago where Daniel Jackson was a TA and met him there. This later paved her way for admittance to the SGC. (Although Aiden got her Masters and Doctorate in Linguistics and Anthropology—she worked with the Archeology department on numerous occasions).
13. She was/is terrified of the Stargate which is really why she never left the SGC while working there.
14. She met/slept with and worked with Colby Granger while he was in the Army and stationed in Afghanistan.
15. Aiden holds dual degrees at all three levels (Ian calls her “their little overachiever”--she socked him in the stomach for that):
BA—English/Linguistics--Minor Archeology (but digging in the dirt bored her so she never pursued it)
Masters—Linguistics/Anthropology
Doctorate—Linguistics/Anthropology
16. One of her favorite moves as a child was the Indiana Jones trilogy (but she hates the new Crystal Skull).
17. One of Aiden's biggest regrets was being on Atlantis when Daren and Hunter had their commitment ceremony.
18. She loves explosions and sci fi and gets a kick out of the fact that her life sometimes resembles a science fiction movie.
19. Her all time favorite movie is The Matrix.
20. She had a German nanny as a child and learned English and German at the same time.
